UNARTE_FEST is the first international exclusively experimental film festival in Romania. The experimental film is hardly ever present here in the cinema and mostly exhibited in contemporary art museums or galleries. Its esthetic is
different than the ones of short and feature films, its style has nothing in common with that of the documentaries, it doesn’t have to be narrative or contain sound, and the image doesn’t have to be recognizable.
